
Manager (Marketing Communications & Media Relations), Strategic Communications Office, 1-year contract
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an administratively strong Manager (Marketing Communications & Media Relations) at the Strategic Communications Office.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Work with Head of Strategic Communications to develop & drive brand marketing communications initiatives for the Academy
- Promote enrolment Diploma, Degree and Masters programmes across local and regional markets
- Strategise and create content for marketing collaterals, enewsletter, Year in Review
- Work closely with Faculties/Programmes for strategic alignment across the various departments
- To work with Head of Communications on the appointment of agencies and vendors for marketing and advertising purposes
Events Management
- Drive and manage events such as Open House and other recruitment initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors
- Provide marketing support for NAFA-related events
Branding Communications
- Ensure all publicity collaterals are in-line with corporate branding and corporate guidelines
- Oversee marketing collateral development for the Academy
- Account service and support assigned internal NAFA departments by ensuring publicity/collaterals are on-brand and in line with NAFA's overall branding guidelines
Corporate Communications & Media Relations
- Draft, review, and manage speeches, messaging, and collateral materials for events and campaigns as needed
- Speech writing in Mandarin for senior management members
- Assist with translation work to Chinese for marketing collaterals and Chinese social media platforms
- Support NAFA events by hosting or emceeing when required
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local and international media outlets
- Develop, pitch, and manage press releases, media kits, and news stories to ensure positive and accurate coverage of the academy’s activities
- Organise and coordinate press events, interviews, and media engagements to enhance institutional visibility
Requirements & Qualifications
1. Degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communication
2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in media and public relations, marketing or corporate communication Experience in working with PR agencies or in-house is an advantage
3. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
4. Service oriented, highly motivated, results oriented, resourceful, keen problem solver and eager to learn new media
5. Excellent writing and editing skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences
6. Passion for storytelling and creativity
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with various stakeholders
