- The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily offshore operations and maintenance of the Installation to ensure the offshore activities are carried out safely and effectively.
- Provide operational and technical support in relation to installation's operability concerns.
- Is the key focal point with the client in relation to contractual obligations in country for the Operations and Maintenance Contract of the installation to the client's requirements and expectations.
- Provide cover for the Technical Manager responsible for the installation.
- Manage the daily operational activities of the HBAO office in respective country.
- Manage the legal, financial and personnel performance of installation's onshore and offshore operations.
- Ensure compliance of operations with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage a cost-effective year to year operational budget (OPEX) for HBAO in respective country.
- Undertake the duties of Designated Person Ashore under the ISM code.
- Undertake the duties of Company Security Officer under the ISPS code.
- Ensuring that FPSO / FSO Operations are carried out safely in compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures including all field support departments such as Materials/Logistics, IT, Maintenance, Finance, Administration, Base Management & Field Management.
- OPEX budget - subject to BOD / Management approvals.
- Manages all onshore and offshore personnel in accordance with approved operating manpower compliments and practices, taking respective country's laws and regulations into account.
- Reports directly to the HBAO BOD and functional reporting to Vice President Global Operations
- Deals directly with Client on a day to day basis and with HBAO Senior Management in matters related to HBAO interfaces.
- Work together with JV partner as required / directed.
- Interaction with client regarding operational matters. Required to make presentations and explain technical issues to the client.
- Produce reports on operational and technical matters.
- Stewardship of AMO providing support for logistics and materials
- Ensuring that all requirements, deadlines, and support services for FPSO Operations, Construction, Maintenance and Materials are met and carried out by offshore personnel.
- Meeting the corporate targets set for the company.
- Ensuring the welfare of FPSO staff employees, contractors, and all visitors to the facility.
- Ensuring all operational data is accurately and promptly reported to management and the client.
- Define the functional requirements of design changes that may become necessary during the field life and assist with the design change process with the Company's Management of Change (MOC) design departments.
- Stewardship of audits to ensure the effective performance and operation of the FPSO systems.
- Participate in HAZOP Study and HAZOP Close Outs when required as requested by the client or AMO Management.
- Propel a high safety acumen with regards to FPSO facility daily operations. Participation in proactive safety performance and KPl's.
- As custodian of the Safety/Facility Management Systems, ensure that the system meets requirements of the users and that where identified by audit, corrective actions are closed out by the responsible person in a timely manner.
- Asset Integrity of the FPSO facility ensuring safety critical systems remains with maximum availability.
- Initiate, maintain, review, and implement management strategies and procedures, offshore on the facility and in the HBAO office in country to ensure production and support operations are effective in meeting safety and commercial objectives.
- Stewardship and maintenance planning ensuring 30 day and 90 day look ahead are executed through the FPSO leadership team.
- Management and stewardship of subcontractors and suppliers ensuring supporting vendors and suppliers comply with company minimum requirements i.e. Corporate Social Responsibility
- Recruitment of Office and FPSO facility crew during life cycle of the operations
- Fully responsible to maintain the FPSO in Class and to FLAG requirements.
- Any other responsibilities, tasks assigned by the direct line manager.

- Trade or Tertiary background in the Instrument / Electrical, Mechanical Fitting, Marine or related fields.
- Strong Leadership and team building qualities and sound interpersonal skills essential.
- Should have sound presentation skills.
