Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure the Contractor is delivering high-quality work and maintaining good safety practices in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Attend all meetings related to the project including site, progress, variation, coordination, QAQC etc
- Provide ongoing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works as needed, ensuring compliance with the project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.
- Carry out supervision and inspection C&S, M&E and geotechnical works including but not limited to concreting, pavement, drainage, compaction, curing of concrete, formwork, re-props and removal of props, quality & erection of precast components and steel works.
- Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his charge.
- Coordinate with safety team and provide overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and implementation of safe working practices on site.
- Ensure all construction works will not impact or affect the operations of the client.
- Ensure client’s emergency preparedness protocols are adhered to by the contractors during trial runs or actual emergencies.
- Verify all reports and claims relating to C&S, M&E and geotechnical works submitted by the contractors.
- Inspect the quality of work and materials delivered to the site, take corrective actions for any non-compliance, and report any materials that do not conform to the specifications to the OIC.
- Verify reports and claims submitted by the main contractors and other ancillary contractors.
- Resolve main contractors’ queries and coordinate the works onsite.
- Adhere to the shift duty roster assigned.
- Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as and when instructed by the SRE, OIC, or the Client.
- Min 8 years of civil engineering experience of which 3 years of experience in major construction works deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments and collating of monitoring data.
- Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB.
- Accredited as a RE with IES
- Able to perform shift work.
