Job Scope:

  • Plan and prepare construction schedules in advance, coordinating all related activities effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project progress both on-site and off-site.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports as required by consultants and clients.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, including civil/structural, architectural, and M&E drawings.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of construction activities and compile daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to standard rules and regulations.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the project as assigned.
  • Coordinate and arrange site inspections with the Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Technical Officer (RTO).
  • Organize daily toolbox meetings with the Site Supervisor and WSH Coordinator, providing briefings on site activities and tasks.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with the Site Supervisor.
  • Attend monthly and weekly safety meetings, as well as site discussions with the client.
  • Prepare necessary project submissions, such as RFIs, Method Statements (MS), Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), shop drawings, and other supporting documents.
  • Maintain project documentation, including records and summaries, to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Manage the team for emergency defect recovery work on Sundays and Public Holidays, and provide status updates in the client’s WhatsApp chat group.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the infrastructural or marine construction industry is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience with dredging, reclamation, or nearshore construction projects is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and BCA regulations.
  • Must be willing to commute daily by sea to the island worksite.
  • Flexibility to work on Sundays or Public Holidays as needed for emergency recovery work.
  • May be required to support multiple projects as needed.
  • Owning a personal vehicle is an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
