We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct a project in a multi-disciplinary team. The role will focus on the conversion of biomass to low carbon fuels using life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis of specific technologies develop in the project and compare against existing commercial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform literature review on data available for commercial processes
- Provide estimations for data not available in literature
- Develop process flowsheets to describe the processes developed in the project and commercial processes
- Perform life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis processes developed in the project and commercial processes
- Prepare manuscripts, reports and presentations
- Guide and train students and junior lab members
- Maintain complete documentation for modelling methods and analysis used
- Regular communications with supervisors on progress and report writing
- PhD degree in chemical engineering or closely related field
- Good understanding of LCA and TEA theories and calculations
- Experience on ASPEN-HYSYS and LCA software tools
