The Role
As a key tax professional in our team, you will provide real-time local income tax support to the Digital Asia-Pac team across acquisitions, construction, operations, corporate finance, leasing, and accounting functions. You will coordinate with local tax advisors to ensure compliance, oversee tax filings and payments, and liaise with local tax authorities on notices, elections, and assessments. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will help maintain entity structures, ensuring legal and financial records align with tax strategies. Additionally, you will drive value-added projects, such as cost segregation studies, to optimize cash flow and minimize tax exposure. Your role will also include providing insights on local tax matters, assisting the Corporate Tax team in budgeting local tax liabilities, preparing US GAAP quarterly tax provisions, and supporting US REIT compliance efforts. Furthermore, you will document key tax positions, including transfer pricing policies, internal controls, and uncertain tax positions, ensuring compliance and strategic tax planning for Digital’s Asia-Pac operations.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, with professional certification being a plus. They should have at least seven years of combined public and corporate tax experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm, and knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting principles is an advantage. Experience in a multinational corporation is desirable. The candidate should be a proactive self-starter who can work independently and under pressure, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Attention to detail, the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft applications are essential. Solid written and interpersonal skills are required, along with a collaborative mindset, adaptability, and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
