Mechanical Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible to oversee the maintenance of heavy machinery in the Machinery Workshop (excavators, cranes, etc used in Construction). Apart from working in Machinery Workshop, the Mechanical Engineer will be required to travel to construction sites and analyze the deployed machineries' repair status when the need arises.
· Ensure corrective repairs and preventive maintenance of machineries and equipment are done efficiently according to manufacturer specifications
· Follow up on status of spare parts with warehouse to ensure timely completion of corrective repairs of machineries and equipment
· Conduct site visits and compile pictures for reporting to management to ensure machineries and equipment are being used and maintained correctly on site
· Coordinate and liaise with Logistics Engineer on machineries and equipment movement in and out of workshop
· Monitor and review performance of mechanics, mobile mechanics and staff
· Liaise, deal and follow up on corrective repairs with external workshop
· Ensure proper and timely clearance of external corrective repairs billings with purchasing and finance department
· Undertake ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by management
Requirements
· Good knowledge of heavy machinery and vehicles
· 1-2 years of experience in Construction
· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
· Ability to communicate complex concepts
· Able to work independently and in a team
· Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
