Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveyor (QS):

  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and budgets for construction projects.
  • Manage tendering processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
  • Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Conduct site measurements and valuations for interim payments and final accounts.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants on cost-related issues.
  • Assist in contract administration, including reviewing contracts and managing claims.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS):

  • Lead the QS team and provide guidance on cost management strategies.
  • Oversee all cost control activities across multiple projects.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in contract management.
  • Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and potential risks to senior management.
  • Prepare financial reports and cost forecasts for project stakeholders.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Quantity Surveyor requires 3–5 years of experience in cost estimation and contract management.
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor requires 7+ years of experience, including leading QS teams and managing large-scale projects. Experience in dispute resolution and contract negotiation is a plus.
