Job Summary:
The Finance Manager at SR Express Private Limited will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial health and strategic direction. This role requires a blend of hands-on financial management, strategic planning, and effective communication to support the company's growth and profitability. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of Singaporean financial regulations, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
· Develop and implement annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
· Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to senior management.
· Develop and maintain key financial models for revenue, expense, and profitability projections.
Financial Reporting & Control:
· Oversee the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements prepared in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
· Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
· Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management:
· Manage the full procure-to-pay cycle, including vendor invoice processing, payment tracking, reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
· Analyse vendor spend and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Team Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
· Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Stakeholder Communication:
· Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, the board of directors, auditors, and investors, presenting financial information clearly and concisely.
Process Improvement:
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
· This may include automation projects and leveraging technology to streamline workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Work collaboratively with other departments (sales, marketing, operations) to understand their financial needs and provide support in achieving their business objectives.
Requirements:
· Candidates with work rights in Singapore (Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident).
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· 7-10 years of relevant experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a logistics or transportation industry in Singapore.
· Logistics or transportation industry experience preferred
· Proven experience in managing a finance team.
· Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and vendor management.
· Expertise in SAP financial systems and processes.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· In-depth knowledge of Singaporean accounting standards (SFRS), tax regulations, and relevant financial regulations.
· Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
· Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is highly desirable.
