The role of Vice President of Marketing Asia Pacific will lead MEC's marketing efforts for various brands in the region, including Monster, Predator. This position demands adaptability and dynamism to lead the regional marketing team and manage an expanding portfolio across diverse markets at varying stages of development.
The individual in this role is responsible for crafting and implementing marketing strategies for the region and guiding the team in executing activities to achieve business objectives. This may involve adapting global assets to the market or creating impactful local initiatives. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the SVP APAC to develop and sell marketing plans to bottling partners, transforming brand marketing assets into compelling trade concepts and in-store executions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead a team of Senior Marketing Directors and Marketing Directors to ensure the quality and constant advancement of the programs. Managing the development, approval, and implementation of integrated and localized marketing plans by influencing internal and external functions.
- Disseminate corporate brand strategies across his/her respective teams and ensure marketing branding is consistent with global guidelines. Selling the brand plans and overarching brand vision into the commercial organization and the bottler management team.
- Manage teams, projects, and budgets in situations of high complexity and uncertainty of external factors. Drive multiple programs at the same time to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Manage the communication flow and work with SVP APAC and his/her reports (VP’s & RVP’s of the different APAC regions), VP of Finance, VP of Operations. Commercial and Marketing strategies to be planned and executed in synchrony with the commercial team and the rest of departments.
- Be the champion for regional marketing: Marketing the Marketing. Looking at effective elements to help outline our successes (Best practice sharing, external market learning).
- Continued improvement of regional marketing relationships with other departments – including central marketing, finance, legal, operations & trade.
- Influence key stakeholders in the business through well-articulated, innovative plans supported by analytic statements that clearly define the overall objective, strategies and supporting tactics. Build capabilities of team members by providing leadership and resources necessary for successful plans.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years senior level marketing experience in a consumer brand lifestyle or product.
- International marketing and commercial experience at a senior level with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work strategically and be executional in a non-traditional, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills to handle top to top meetings both internally and externally.
- Strong leadership skills in directing cross-functional teams to execute marketing programs on schedule and within budget.
- A proven track record of successful, global marketing initiatives.
- Excellent budget management skills required.
- Business development background preferred or experience in building a brand from the ground up.
- Frequent international travel required with a sense of cultural understanding and etiquette.
- Ability to run key stakeholder meetings and coordinate communication flow to each Business Unit.
- Time management skills and coordination of a very robust schedule.
