
Senior Credit Analyst
The ideal candidate will evaluate credit applications, conduct thorough financial and risk analyses, and develop tailored credit solutions that align with our strategic objectives and regulatory standards. This role involves in-depth analysis of financial statements, development of financial models, and collaboration with the Corporate Banking team to drive effective credit decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze past and current financial statements and performance metrics.
- Provide financial models and projections based on reasonable assumptions.
- Prepare detailed reports and projections to support credit decision making.
Risk Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for credit applications, balancing client needs with the bank’s risk appetite.
- Review and monitor existing credit portfolios to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Coordinate with the Corporate Banking team to review financial forecasts and related information.
- Provide sectorial and industry analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all analyses adhere to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Credit Committee in a clear and concise manner.
Team Support:
- Mentor junior analysts and share industry insights and best practices within the team.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business or any related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant credit analysis experience within the Banking or Audit sectors.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and strong financial analysis skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence, persuade, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking headquarter counterparties.
- Candidates with a background in Trade Finance products will be considered favorably.
