Public Speaking Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Speaking Teacher to lead groups of students from Grade 3 to Grade 10. The ideal candidate will have a passion for communication and a strong background in teaching public speaking and communication skills. This role involves facilitating engaging lessons that adhere to the Trinity College communication grading system.

Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Trinity College communication grading criteria.

- Create a curriculum that fosters confidence, clarity, and creativity in student presentations.

Instruction:

- Lead interactive sessions that encourage participation and skill development in public speaking.

- Teach students various speaking techniques, including voice modulation, body language, and effective use of visual aids.

Assessment and Feedback:

- Evaluate student performances using the Trinity College grading rubric and provide constructive feedback.

- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet individual needs.

*Classroom Management:

- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Encourage students to express their ideas and opinions confidently.

Collaboration:

- Work with other educators to integrate public speaking skills across the curriculum.

- Organize and participate in school events, competitions, and showcases to promote student achievements.

Professional Development:

- Stay current on trends and best practices in public speaking and education.

- Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in public speaking or communication.

- Familiarity with the Trinity College communication grading system.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying ages and abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with diverse groups of students.

- Knowledge of educational technology and multimedia tools to enhance presentations.

- Strong organizational and planning skills.
