Lab Manager (Construction Materials Testing) (#JLN)

• Oversee the daily laboratory operations and manage a team to ensure efficiency and safety, providing technical advice and training on test result interpretation, ensuring compliance with international testing standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
• Manage and supervise a team of technical staff for both field and laboratory sampling and testing of construction materials, namely concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, steel and other materials as required.
• Manage the daily operations and efficiency of the laboratory in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
• Provide technical advice and training to coworkers and customers on the interpretation of test results.
• Understand the requirements of international testing standards and verification of test results before issuance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role ideally with laboratory operations management and supervison of materials testing operations.
• Good technical knowledge, well versed in ISO 17025 documentation and technical documents such as BS, EN, ASTM, etc.
