1. Technical Presales Support:
- Lead and respond to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs, ensuring proposals meet customer needs.
- Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend suitable battery/ESS solutions.
- Develop technical documentation, including datasheets, specifications, and compliance reports.
- Provide pre-sales consultation, addressing technical inquiries and feasibility concerns.
2. Solution Design & Proposal Preparation:
- Work with R&D and production teams to ensure product capabilities align with customer demands.
- Prepare and present technical sales materials, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and risk assessments.
3. Compliance & Certification Management:
- Ensure solutions comply with relevant industry standards (IEC, UL, UN38.3, CE, etc.).
- Assist in obtaining necessary certifications for battery and ESS products for different markets.
- Work with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with energy storage and battery transport regulations.
4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Coordinate with the dedicated team for standard RFI/Q processing and technical documentation.
- Work closely with project managers for smooth handover from presales to execution.
- Engage with the development team for feasibility analysis and prototype validation.
- Collaborate with the production team for manufacturability and quality assurance.
5. Task Management & Workflow Optimization:
- Maintain tracking of pre-sales activities using internal process and tools.
- Ensure timely response to customer requests with proper task delegation and escalation.
- Improve presales efficiency by implementing automated templates and structured workflows.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Energy Systems) .
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution engineering for lithium batteries or ESS.
- Experience in bid/tender preparation for large-scale projects (e.g., telecom, UPS, renewable energy).
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, BMS, and ESS architectures.
- Understanding of power electronics, inverters, and energy storage integration.
- Familiarity with certification processes (UL, IEC, UN38.3, CE, RoHS, etc.).
- Proficiency in technical documentation, solution modeling, and proposal writing.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent customer engagement & presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and project coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple RFI/Qs simultaneously.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Being a good team player.
