Job description:
- Perform vessel/ barge intact & damage stability calculations.
- Perform vessel/ barge longitudinal strength calculations.
- Perform vessel/ barge deck local strength calculations.
- Perform accelerations/ sea fastening calculations.
- Perform mooring and load out calculations.
- Perform towing resistance calculations.
- Perform module structural integrity check.
- Perform steel structural calculations and design.
- Perform heavy lift & transportation calculation & design.
- Liaise with marine warranty surveyors and/ or classification societies.
- Meeting with client for technical discussion.
- Provide engineering support to Construction/Commissioning work at site.
- Willing to travel
Requirements:
- Degree in Naval Architecture.
- At least 2 yrs working experience in shipbuilding, ship or marine design is preferred.
- Familiar with the approval process and in dealing with marine warranty surveyors and/ or classification societies.
- Knowledge of marine warranty surveyors and classification rules & requirements, and other relevant engineering standards applicable to vessels/ barges and structural design.
- Experience with a structural design and finite element analysis of vessels/ barges/ structures.
- Experience in 2D or 3D CAD, MS Office and naval architecture/ structural design tools.
