About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will be the second-in-command, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, exceptional food quality, and an unforgettable dining experience. This role requires a blend of culinary expertise, leadership, and creativity to maintain our high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Execution & Development: Assist in the preparation, design, and execution of our signature dishes while ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, maintain efficiency, and ensure food is prepared in a timely manner that meets our quality standards.
Staff Leadership & Training: Mentor, train, and guide the kitchen team, ensuring strong collaboration and high performance.
Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels, place orders, and maintain a well-organized kitchen to avoid shortages or waste.
Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Uphold strict sanitation regulations and safety protocols to maintain a clean and professional kitchen environment.
Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Step in during high-pressure situations, addressing any kitchen challenges swiftly and effectively.
Plating & Presentation: Ensure dishes are beautifully plated, following modern Middle Eastern presentation techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in a Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, or Indian restaurant.
Strong understanding of traditional Middle Eastern cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Experience in plating and presentation artistry.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle kitchen challenges effectively.
Degree in Culinary Science or relevant certification is a plus.
