Job Description

  • Oversee and manage regulatory risk assessment/independent monitoring of Maybank Securities compliance with AML/CFT, Sanctions and AB&C regulatory requirements through impact assessment of regulatory change on business or introduction of new business, product and process.
  • Formulate strategic agenda and direction for BCCO Department.
  • Proactively provide value-add oversight to the business and recommending solutions to strengthen AML/CFT, Sanctions and AB&C framework within Maybank Securities.
  • Lead the formulation and establishment of Quality Assurance methodologies and review strategy, which include the scope, timeline and related procedures on AML/CFT, Sanctions and AB&C.
  • Act as the 1st point of contact in providing guidance/business advisory on AML/CFT, Sanctions and AB&C compliance and regulatory matters and guide business in navigating and complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching to the business with relevant SMEs where necessary in collaboration with Maybank IB Compliance and Human Capital training team to achieve a sustainable compliance culture in the bank.
  • Management Reporting: Provide report to relevant Maybank IB’s committee/board of directors and ensure the timeliness of periodic submission.
  • Reporting: Ensure required external reporting obligations are fulfilled

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree of business relevance or higher
  • At least 8-12 years of financial crime compliance/KYC experience in similar capacity in the financial industry, preferably within a capital markets or banking environment
  • Discipline/Related Field: Legal, Audit, Risk Management
  • Excellent working knowledge of the relevant MAS AML/CFT notices and guidelines and sanctions
  • Good working knowledge of PDPA and IRAS Regulations on International Tax such as FATCA and Common Reporting Standards
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, investment banking and business needs and able to provide solution-driven and pragmatic AML/CFT advice
