The Position

As the main HR strategic partner to our business leaders in Group Functions for the Regional Operating Unit (ROPU) ASEAN, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand (ASKAN) region, this individual will develop a deep understanding of the business / functional needs and will be accountable for developing and delivering innovative HR solutions, with the primary focus on employee experience and business success. This will be based in ROPU ASKAN Regional Center in Singapore.

This individual also plays a key role in coaching business leaders and acts as a true enabler in the context of our business and HR strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to respective Group Functions teams within the region on HR related needs and priorities.
  • Develop and guide change management and transformational activities, also considering respective labor and internal regulations, and leveraging external and internal partners.
  • Guide and support quantitative and qualitative workforce planning activities in line with market development and business strategy.
  • Partnering with the business, ROPU CoEs and local HR in OPUs to translate business strategy into implementable global and regional HR solutions. Utilize People Analytics to guide and develop HR solutions to meet business needs.
  • Support capability building and development activities within the organization in close collaboration with the CoEs.
  • Partner with business leaders in driving Talent Management activities, building strong succession pipelines and focusing on the development of future leaders to ensure long term business success.
  • In partnership with the business, to be accountable for enhancing our company culture, values and expected behaviors.
  • Work with Group Functions to establish policies, programs, and managing headcounts / manpower cost budgets and reporting.
  • Manage senior management recruitment, selection, and contraction of personnel.
  • Partner with global stakeholders, within HR and beyond HR, to ensure that global direction is locally executed in alignment with regional and local leaders.
  • Act as an active member of the global / ROPU HR Business Partner community, exchanging with peers in other countries to leverage best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or similar discipline. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 8 or more years of relevant HR experience, with at least 2 years as a HRBP in a highly matrix international environment, and at least 2 years in CoEs / HR Services.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industry desirable.
  • Understanding of relevant local employment regulations in most countries in ROPU ASKAN.
  • Demonstrated agility in acting quickly with an open mind to manage internal and external challenges and continuous change.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding of complex / matrix business networks and capability to build and leverage relevant connections with multiple stakeholders.
  • Assertiveness is driven by a strong team spirit, with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functional teams, driving ownership for actions, even in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Change management expertise, influencing skills, able to communicate effectively across all levels
