About the role

The Senior Commissioning Engineer/Commissioning Engineer is responsible for executing commissioning activities for Industrial and Municipal Water Treatment and Effluent Plants, including pre-commissioning, process commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting. The role involves fieldwork, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and preparation of technical documentation. Strong experience in water treatment processes and equipment troubleshooting is required, along with a degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of field experience.

This is a 1-year contract position with the potential for permanent conversion

Job responsibilities

1. Execute commissioning activities independently or under supervision for Industrial/Municipal Effluent Treatment Plants & Water Treatment Plants (UPW/Desalination).

The commissioning activities include but not limited to:

• Pre-Commissioning

• Wet Commissioning

• Process Commissioning

• Performance Test

• Documentation and handover to the client

• Post commissioning support

2. Review P&IDs, PFD, Mass Balance, Design Basis Reports, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect Matrix

3. To work with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and control) to ensure that the installations are as per design.

4. Preparation of Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Check Lists, Commissioning Procedures, Performance Test procedure and report, SOPs and O&M Manual.

5. Preparation/review and submission of daily progress reports, weekly and monthly reports & commissioning logs/reports, Commissioning Puch Lists preparation, distribution and tracking

6. Preparation of Method Statements & Risk Assessments

7. Data analysis and troubleshooting of equipment and processes

8. To identify design, installation and functional defects of process equipment, piping, instrument and control and provide necessary feedback advisory to the relevant teams and ensure the closure of the defects for smooth operation of the plants.

9. To conduct Site Acceptance Tests, Performance test for plant proving, submission of relevant reports and ensure client’s endorsement.

10. Support project team for the successful closure of projects
