
Front-office Application Support - Leading Investment Bank
Our client, a Leading Investment Bank, is looking for Front-Office Application Support. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and operational support for critical trading platforms and front-office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for front-office trading applications, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner while adhering to incident management processes.
- Work closely with traders, sales teams, and other front-office stakeholders to address application-related queries and issues.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement solutions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect and address potential system issues.
- Support the deployment of application upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, workflows, and incident resolutions.
- Ensure that applications operate within regulatory guidelines and standards.
Key Qualification
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
- Proficiency in database management and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with network protocols and application monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk).
- Understanding of front-office trading systems and workflows (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, FX).
- Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) or Risk Management platforms.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with non-technical users and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet strict deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar application support role within an investment banking or financial services environment.
