Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain flow cytometry instruments and related equipment.
- Prepare and process biological samples for flow cytometric analysis.
- Troubleshoot and optimize flow cytometry protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, results, and protocols.
- Collaborate with scientists to support flow cytometry needs.
- Evaluate sample acceptability based on established guidelines and process specimens for analysis in accordance with established written procedures.
- Accurately evaluate test results according to standardized protocols.
- Maintain quality control measures during testing to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Document corrective and preventative actions with good documentation practices.
- Maintain overview of reagent inventory.
- Assist in the proper maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in internal and external quality assessment as required.
- Comply with good laboratory practices for all procedures in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical, Immunology or biological science from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a flow cytometry laboratory will be preferred.
- Proven experience with flow cytometry, including instrument operation and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of flow cytometry principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with immunophenotyping other common applications of flow cytometry will be preferred.
- Good analytical skills with keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
