Your opportunity
The Intellectual Property Manager will support all of Kering brands on intellectual property matters relating to brand enforcement in a thriving and growing business regions ASEAN with a particular focus on Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines.
How you will contribute
- Proactive detection of the offline IP infringement issues for our brands, analyse the issue, devise feasible solutions and manage enforcement of the cases in an effective and efficient ways and in accordance with the country lP law landscape, our IP strategy and corporate KPI.
- Proactive management of our online enforcement programme in accordance with our strategy and goals; with a focus on detecting infringement, new trends, solutions, adjust our notice to take down programmes and engage and manage our partnership programmes with key ASEAN platforms and social media companies.
- Work closely with all relevant law enforcement authorities especially the customs relating to enforcement cases and matters.
- Conduct brand awareness trainings for law enforcement to increase our brand identity and engagement.
- Proactive management of day to day enforcement matters; both online and offline and work closely with lawyers and investigators.
- Attend to product verification and court testimony (when necessary).
- Maintain our IP cases database and management system, manage budget and assist in preparing reporting for our brands locally.
- Work as one team and in close collaboration with our Legal Intellectual Property team in Asia, our brands and our Headquarters for all intellectual property and brand protection matters for ASEAN.
- Manage and work closely with our local business team in a timely manner.
- Ad hoc tasks may be assigned from time to time. E.g Assist in handling evidence collection or investigation for prosecution cases (i.e. oppositions and cancellations) (when necessary).
Who you are?
- Proven track record and solid working experience in IP enforcement areas especially offline and online enforcement.
- BA is required and possessing a law degree with IP study is preferable.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in a similar position in ASEAN with MNC, consultancy / law firm and/or governmental enforcement agency.
- Good understanding of intellectual property legal framework and brand protection issues for ASEAN.
- Innovative mindset where individual can think outside the box for creative and effective solutions.
- Excellent organization, presentation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Team player and good to have working experiences in a multi-culture environment.
- Outgoing personality and able to manage stakeholders and work independently.
- Willing to travel.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
