Job Description
A Semi-Conductor Testing Equipment Manufacturer is seeking a Human Resource Officer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to interviewing and selecting candidates. Ensure smooth onboarding for new hires, including orientation and integration into the company culture.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner. Foster a positive work culture that supports open communication and teamwork.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal system, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and career development. Ensure the alignment of employee performance with organizational objectives.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and implement development programs to upskill employees and enhance team productivity. Promote continuous learning and professional growth within the company.
- Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the market and alignment with company policies. Support salary reviews and manage benefits packages for employees.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with Singapore’s employment laws and regulations, including employee rights, health and safety, and labor laws. Regularly review and update company policies to reflect regulatory changes.
- HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures to create a transparent and fair working environment. Ensure employees understand and adhere to company policies.
- Employee Engagement and Well-being: Organize employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs to enhance job satisfaction and retention rates.
- HR Administration: Manage HR records, update employee data, and generate reports for management. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all HR documentation.
- HR Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and growth plans. Advise on organizational development and workforce planning.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Lead or support HR-related projects and initiatives as required by the business, including talent mapping, succession planning, and organizational change management.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a human resources management role, ideally in a manufacturing, technology, or engineering environment. Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic company is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices. Familiarity with labor regulations, compensation trends, and recruitment strategies.
- Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software/systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll software).
Ability to manage multiple HR functions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire HR teams, providing guidance and support to achieve HR objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve employee issues and support organizational goals.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with change, able to manage new initiatives and shifting priorities in an evolving company.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and adapt to various working styles.
