We are currently seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join our team for a 6-12 month contract. As a key member of the IT support team, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support for our users across Singapore and remote offices, ensuring seamless technology operation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line troubleshooting and support for 200+ local users in Singapore and remote offices.
- Work within as a part of the team to ensuring effective collaboration and problem resolution.
- Log calls, create tickets, and escalate to 3rd level teams as needed for complex issues.
- Support both front and back office incidents and requests, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Assist with the movement of desktop hardware between desks as requested by the business.
- Monitor and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Document solutions or interim processes until a permanent solution is implemented.
- Serve as the hub for IT communications across the user base in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Occasionally work overtime or on weekends, coordinating with the IT Engineering team for IT/System Maintenance.
Key Competencies and Skill Sets:
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are a must.
- Strong customer service focus with a dedication to providing effective and timely support.
- Proactive in expanding technical expertise and problem-solving.
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.
- Experience with MS Active Directory, including user/group/policy management.
- Familiarity with remote support tools such as Microsoft Skype for Business, Teams, MECM, VNC, and remote desktop connection.
- Citrix support experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Enterprise Vault, MS Office 365, and mobile technology (iOS and AirWatch).
- Experience with voice/phone systems such as Cisco administration and video-conferencing platforms like Cisco Webex and Teams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and installation issues.
- Understanding of ITIL Incident and Request Management processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous support experience in the energy or commodities industry, particularly supporting commodity trading, pricing, and news platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, MarketView, WebICE, IceChat, CQG, Trayport, Base Metals, and ProphetX3.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Studies or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years (or more) of experience in a similar role, providing desktop support in a corporate or trading environment.
