The General Cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness of public areas to create a positive impression for guests. This department plays a crucial role in ensuring that the physical aspects of the hotel meet high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
To perform all duties associated with the cleaning of walkways, public areas, and guest reception areas of the hotel.
Performs general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, etc. at every corner of public areas in the hotel
Ensure all public restrooms, and toilets are clean, fresh smelling, and stocked at all times.
Ensures that the cleaning equipment and tools assigned to perform duties are maintained at all times.
Dust, clean, and wipe walls, doors, and table tops as and when necessary in the lobby area throughout the shift
Empty and clean trash bins in public areas
Undertakes other duties as and when assigned by the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in a housekeeping role (Public Area Cleaner).
Able to converse in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shift work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to perform rotating shifts and 6 days work week
Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
Willing to commit OT when required.
On-the-job training will be provided for those without relevant experience.
