Senior Designer / Team Lead
Role Overview
A dynamic mid-level position that combines design expertise with entrepreneurial spirit, providing design guidance, project coordination, and team support while developing leadership skills in an interior design business.
Core Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Participate in high-profile/ value project presentations and pitches
Produce, guide and support designers on design development and project pitching.
Review on design productions and provide constructive feedback
Help resolve design challenges and client concerns
Contribute to development of company design identity
Styling & FF&E Expertise
Lead FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection and specification
Create comprehensive styling concepts for projects
Develop curated product selections tailored to client needs
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
Stay current with product trends, new materials and finishes
Create style guides and mood boards for client presentations
Ensure cohesive design vision through appropriate FF&E selections
On site styling works and coordination with clients and media team for photoshopping
Technical Design Execution
Produce professional design drawings and documentation
Create detailed construction drawings with proper specifications
Develop 3D visualizations and renderings for client presentations
Ensure technical accuracy of all design documentation
Maintain consistency between concept and technical drawings
Support design implementation during construction phase
Address technical queries from contractors and vendors
Project Coordination
Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously
Ensure project timelines and requirements are met
Identify and address potential project issues early
Support smooth project handovers and transitions
Team Development
Mentor junior designers
Facilitate knowledge sharing
Provide technical guidance on design execution
Support commission-based designers with resources
Create collaborative design environment

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
4-6 years of professional interior design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating technical and aesthetic capability, experience in hospitality and high-end luxury projects would be a plus
Experience collaborating on multiple projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in design software
Basic project management experience
