Job Description
We’re seeking a passionate and creative Design Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll create visually stunning digital content and merchandise designs that align with SM Universe (Singapore)’s brand and SM Entertainment’s global identity. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world projects in a fast-paced, K-pop-inspired environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Collateral Design
- Design eye-catching social media graphics, promotional materials, email headers, and website visuals for SM Universe (Singapore)’s campaigns, events, and announcements.
- Ensure alignment with SM Entertainment’s branding guidelines and K-pop aesthetics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Merchandise Design
- Conceptualise and design exclusive merchandise (e.g., apparel, accessories, stationery) for SM Universe (Singapore) and SM Entertainment collaborations.
- Prepare print-ready files and liaise with vendors to ensure quality production.
- Stay updated on K-pop merchandise trends to create designs that resonate with fans.
- Creative Support
- Assist in brainstorming and executing design concepts for campaigns, events, and partnerships.
- Adapt designs for multiple formats (digital, print, merchandise).
- Maintain organised design files and asset libraries.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong grasp of social media design principles (platform specs, trends).
- Creative flair with a passion for K-pop culture and aesthetics.
- Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and receptive to feedback.
- Portfolio showcasing digital and/or merchandise design work (student projects welcome!). Please provide a link to your portfolio in your CV.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields.
- Must be based in Singapore.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing merchandise (apparel, accessories, etc.).
- Knowledge of SM Entertainment artists and K-pop trends.
- Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects, Canva).
