We are looking for a Trainee Officer (1- year contract, renewable up to maximum 2 years) in Singapore who will be reporting to the Head of Global Trade Finance, Asia.

Receivables and Supply Chain Finance (RSF) is a business line within International Trade and Transaction Banking (ITB)/Global Trade Finance (GTF) that supports corporates to achieve their working capital, supply chain and client financing objectives through financing solutions around their payables, receivables and inventory.

Main Responsibilities

Support origination activities for RSF in Asia, including,

  1. Assisting in research analysis on sectors, market trends, best practices, product developments, target companies etc. to identify opportunities for RSF business development
  2. Preparing marketing materials for clients e.g. pitchbooks, term sheets, pricing proposals etc.
  3. Driving the business management activities of RSF, including pipeline management, MIS reporting, meeting coordination etc.
  4. Coordinating with various internal stakeholders on KYC related activities and necessary approvals to be obtained (e.g. compliance, credit etc.) for RSF transactions
  5. Managing transactional execution of RSF drawdowns
  6. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on all origination related activities
  7. Close follow-up of all RSF opportunities and discussions with respective teams from sales, coverage, product etc.
  8. Assist in the day-to-day activities of the GTF Team as required.

The ideal candidate should preferably possess the following skill sets and qualities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial analysis into actionable strategies
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial and ability to work autonomously and take ownership
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different business functions and geographies
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (oral and written)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Some knowledge of modelling, financial and accounting expertise is preferred but not mandatory
