【Legal Counsel - Data & Privacy 】
This is a Junior/Senior Legal Counsel role with the following requirements:
• Strong understanding of privacy frameworks and experience implementing the same
• Partner closely with business to assess potential data, privacy and security risks and regulatory controls and governance for products and technologies
• Support the business to build trustworthy, privacy-first products and services
• Advise on the management and use of data, including privacy matters related to Product, Marketing, Advertising, and data governance
• Provide subject matter expert advice in connection with regulatory investigations, individual complaints and enquiries
• Provide subject matter expert advice across all aspects of global privacy law and regulation, including on highly regulated, sensitive data
• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate data protection terms in a variety of commercial agreements
The candidate should have:
• Law degree with 5+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience
• strong substantive knowledge of applied privacy laws
• experience with both US and EU privacy laws, regulations, and standards
• technology background or experience strongly preferred
• solid project management skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• experience working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
