Responsibilities:
The Production Manager is to oversee the overall planning and scheduling of products from the Ready-to-eat Meal Food Production Kitchen.
Business Operations
- Oversees and manages daily food production processes, ensuring smooth operations in central kitchen
- To plan and organise production schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets objectives.
- Develops and implements SOPs to ensure consistency in operations, determining quality control standards
- Work with the R&D Chef in-charge on new recipes and their food cost, to formulate the production process (SOP) for each work station.
- Works closely with management in strategic planning to improve business operations
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations.
- Develop and organize training sessions for new products lines
People Management
- Allocate job orders to workstations to fulfill the work orders and ensure stock levels remain adequate
- Supervises and lead factory staff to achieve production efficiency
- Manages staff related matters including leave and salary administration, staff training, promotions and disciplinary matters
- Oversee the hiring and training food production personnel
Compliance to Quality and Standards
- Ensures the quality and quantity of products produced meet the business requirements
- Ensures compliance on high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Attends, investigates and resolves any quality complaints effectively and efficiently
- Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as production manager in food manufacturing industry.
- Diploma in Industrial & Operations management or manufacturing engineering , or in relevant discipline
- Knowledge of ISO22000 or HACCP would be an advantage
- Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (in order to handle queries from Chinese speaking associates in regards with the productions matters)
- 6 days work week
