Procurement/ Purchasing Executive (Direct Raw Material)

Responsibilities

• Negotiate for strategic partnerships on support and pricing.
• Source and evaluate quotes for office/manufacturing raw materials and services.
• Recommend alternative materials, grades, or composites based on requirements.
• Manage and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) and quality.
• Process and release purchase orders (PO) to suppliers/vendors promptly.
• Ensure all incoming materials meet quality and specification requirements with the QA team.
• Track and confirm order acknowledgments and delivery schedules.
• Work closely with the Planning team to prevent shortages and urgent stock replenishment.
• Optimize purchasing volume to reduce additional costs and handling fees.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and explore alternative suppliers for cost reductions.
• Establish and negotiate effective and reliable freight costs.
• Maintain and update pricing in the procurement system.
• Coordinate between Warehouse, Production, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Work with the Planning team to adjust supply according to production demand.
• Liaise with vendors for urgent follow-ups on critical parts and materials.
• Generate monthly procurement reports and cost analysis.
• Track supplier performance and assess efficiency in supply chain operations.
• Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent
• Experience in negotiate strategic partnerships, source materials, and manage supplier relationships.
• Skilled in cost-saving initiatives, optimizing purchasing volume, and maintaining inventory efficiency
• Experience working in Metal fabrication Industry will be a plus
• Have experience in purchasing direct raw material
