
Procurement/ Purchasing Executive (Direct Raw Material)
Responsibilities
- Negotiate for strategic partnerships on support and pricing.
- Source and evaluate quotes for office/manufacturing raw materials and services.
- Recommend alternative materials, grades, or composites based on requirements.
- Manage and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) and quality.
- Process and release purchase orders (PO) to suppliers/vendors promptly.
- Ensure all incoming materials meet quality and specification requirements with the QA team.
- Track and confirm order acknowledgments and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with the Planning team to prevent shortages and urgent stock replenishment.
- Optimize purchasing volume to reduce additional costs and handling fees.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and explore alternative suppliers for cost reductions.
- Establish and negotiate effective and reliable freight costs.
- Maintain and update pricing in the procurement system.
- Coordinate between Warehouse, Production, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Work with the Planning team to adjust supply according to production demand.
- Liaise with vendors for urgent follow-ups on critical parts and materials.
- Generate monthly procurement reports and cost analysis.
- Track supplier performance and assess efficiency in supply chain operations.
- Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and cost-saving measures.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience in negotiate strategic partnerships, source materials, and manage supplier relationships.
- Skilled in cost-saving initiatives, optimizing purchasing volume, and maintaining inventory efficiency
- Experience working in Metal fabrication Industry will be a plus
- Have experience in purchasing direct raw material
