THE ROLE
MullenLowe is looking for a self-motivated FrontEnd Developer to join our team. Candidate should possess a strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks. Candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining responsive websites, email newsletter and mobile web applications for various clients. You may need to work independently and with a team of fellow engineers (or independently), and a variety of other roles like web designers, system architects, user experience experts, client’s IT team and business development on a daily basis.
You will work to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
This role may also provide opportunity to work on MarTech platforms (e.g., Salesforce suite of products, CMS, etc.)
ON ANY GIVEN DAY
- Develop new user-facing features and web components
- Collaborate with project managers, web designers, as well as technology/development team to deliver quality digital productions and maintenance within industry coding standards such as W3C, SEO, within stipulated timelines
- Test and debug work across different browsers to identify issues and fix
- Optimize application for speed and scalability
- Ensure technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 4 years of experience in developing and maintaining responsive websites/email newsletters
- Proficient with HTML5, CSS3 and writing cross-browser compatible codes that are W3C compliant
- Proficient with CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/SVN
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.) would be added advantage
- Experience with handling APIs (e.g., RESTful services, SOAP, etc.) would be ideal
- Experience in JavaScript build tools (e.g., Webpack, gulp, etc.)
- Familiar with debugging tools such as Chrome Developer Tools, etc.
- Familiar with WCAG standards
- Familiar with theming and usage of content management systems (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress, AEM) is an added advantage
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
