Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies in line with local and international regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, FATF guidelines).
- Monitor and ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) requirements.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for customers, suppliers, and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with precious metals trade regulations, including ethical sourcing.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Train employees on compliance policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.
- Investigate and report suspicious activities, ensuring timely escalation of compliance issues.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within the precious metals or financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and international trade regulations related to precious commodities.
- Familiarity with FATF recommendations, OECD guidelines, and local regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency in compliance software and reporting tools is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and training skills to educate internal teams on compliance.
