- Work closely with the Global Transaction Banking Department APAC to define the channel strategy, which is part of the overall transaction banking strategy for the region. New channel aims to strengthen the bank's transaction banking service by enhancing end to end process.
- To work closely with relative departments and teams in Japan, US and EMEA. Coordinate the resource allocation and budget planning with TB Division Tokyo and APAC relevant departments.
- To build a high-performing team of domain expertise, fostering a culture of innovation and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- To manage SMBC partner ecosystem, including setting-up new alliance partner arrangements, and review existing alliance partners to achieve the objective.
- Proven experience in channel development for the transaction banking.
- Proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding business targets.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory environment and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with other key stakeholders including in APAC, Tokyo HQ and other regions.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous as this role needs to coordinate and collaborate across regionally including Businesss Offices and Head Office in Japan is preferable.
