2) Government Relations:
- Gain mastery of the regulatory landscape in the countries where the company operates to deliver up-to-date advice and ensure adherence to all relevant government regulations, policies and initiatives
- Design and implement actionable strategies and structured programmes targeted at fostering key partnerships with government stakeholders to advance the company’s goals
- Represent the organisation in building relationships with government stakeholders including without limitation government officials, entities, business chambers and embassies
- Create and organise opportunities for executive engagements with government officials to promote mutual objectives
- Provide guidance and leadership to internal members across the organisation on strategic approaches for interactions with relevant government bodies
- Prepare key materials such as presentation decks and information briefs for engagement with core stakeholders
3) Business Development:
- Formulate business development strategies and initiatives to establish new revenue streams for the organisation
- Identify and pursue prospects to expand and diversify the company’s geographical presence and business segments including its core business in minerals and resources and new ventures in areas such as decarbonisation
- Collaborate and cultivate strong connections with strategic parties to increase industry engagement, strengthen organisational capabilities, and grow the company’s client, product and project portfolio
4) Sustainability
- Keep abreast of sustainability trends, technologies, policies and best practices to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and to ensure internal compliance with all relevant regulations
- Define ESG goals for the company and determine suitable metrics and targets to achieve these objectives
- Provide sustainability expertise and guidance to support the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability strategies, roadmaps and initiatives in line with industry best practices and corporate ESG targets
- Monitor and report on the company’s sustainability performance against established targets, conduct gap analysis, and formulate recommended solutions and action plans
- Lead the organisation’s sustainability reporting procedures including the collection and analysis of information as well as communication and reporting to stakeholders through deliverables such as sustainability reports and news releases
- Collaborate with internal departments to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility

Requirements:
- Recognised Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a business and/or technical discipline
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must (Proficiency in French is preferred and candidates with French fluency will be prioritised)
- Proven track record of at least 10 years of related working experience in strategy (including relevant background in government relations and business development) and sustainability roles
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership and management position
- Highly adept in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Word
- Resourceful with a vast network of government, business and technical partners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey and present ideas coherently and to build and maintain stakeholder relationships effectively
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a keen eye for identifying, evaluating and developing new business ventures
- Demonstrates strong passion for sustainability and possesses in-depth knowledge of sustainable practices, principles and reporting frameworks
