
Production Manager - Food Manufacturing - HACCP - FDA
Job Description:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, innovation, and profitability in the food production department, aligning with the company's overall goals.
- Manage all aspects of the food production department, including operations, quality control, procurement, inventory, and staff supervision.
- Ensure efficient production processes while meeting quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, track expenses, and optimize costs while maintaining high standards in production quality.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) across all production processes.
- Plan and execute complex projects, including managing suppliers, contracts, budgets, resources, and technical/production planning.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors and production staff to ensure they are motivated and equipped to meet current and future targets.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with R&D, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment across departments.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Identify and assess risks in production processes and develop strategies to prevent disruptions that could affect output or quality.
- Ensure that finished products meet internal specifications and regulatory standards, and support food safety processes at every step.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in areas like Education, Management, Culinary Arts, Food Service, Dietetics, Hospitality, Business, or Healthcare.
- At least 7 years of experience in food production, ideally in the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience in managing food production teams and processes.
- Knowledge of food processing, quality control standards, and safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams effectively.
- Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement:
- Strong skills in analyzing issues, improving processes, and increasing efficiency.
- Able to collaborate with teams (R&D, sales, logistics) and communicate clearly.
- Capable of managing projects and budgets to meet targets and deadlines.
- Able to adjust to changing conditions.
- Familiar with production technology and systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices in production.
