IT/AV support staff
Role Overview:
The AV/IT Support Staff will report to the Head of Technology and be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the church’s IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring smooth operation of computers, networks, and digital platforms. Additionally, this role will support worship technology, including sound, visual, and lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Support & Maintenance
• Provide technical assistance for church staff and ministries on both Mac and PC systems.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Manage and maintain network connectivity (WiFi, routers, and switches).
• Ensure data security and backups are in place.
2. Google Workspace Administration
• Manage church email accounts, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet.
• Assist staff in using Google Workspace efficiently.
• Implement access controls and security settings.
3. General IT & Digital Support
• Maintain church websites, social media platforms, and online services.
• Provide training for staff on basic IT troubleshooting and best practices.
• Assist in implementing new technologies to enhance ministry effectiveness.
4. Worship & AV Tech Support (Good to Have)
• Support sound systems, projection, and lighting during services and events.
• Assist in live-streaming setup and troubleshooting.
• Maintain AV equipment and coordinate upgrades when necessary.
Essential Skills:
> Proficiency in Mac & PC systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking.
> Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, etc.).
> Knowledge of networking concepts (WiFi, routers, firewalls, basic security).
Bonus Skills (Good to Have):
> Experience with worship tech (sound mixing, projectors, lighting systems).
> Familiarity with live-streaming software and video production.
> Knowledge of church management software and digital ministry tools.
