The Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) office is a joint office comprising officers from EDB, ESG and IMDA to oversee Singapore's efforts to build up its technology ecosystem. DISG drives job creation, capability building, enterprise development and internationalization across key local and international digital enterprises.The official title for this role will be Manager, Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)What you will be working on:Account ManagementCultivate strategic relationships and build trust with key company executives, to understand the company's priorities, and pursue new growth opportunitiesDevelop deep understanding of clients' multi-faceted needs and operations to implement and execute coherent client engagement strategiesLead the execution of projects and initiatives related to portfolios of companiesIdentify, negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure “win-win” outcomes for clients and SingaporeCollaborate with other teams in EDB and in other parts of the Singapore Government for project development, related negotiations and smooth execution of end-to-end project implementationIndustry Analysis and Strategy DevelopmentUndertake initiatives and thematic analysis of emerging technology areas, such as AI, cybersecurity, talent, infrastructure, digital and sensingFormulate strategies and develop value propositions to champion for Singapore's digital economyCo-develop, influence and provide input (where relevant) on policies or product/ service development to appropriate teams in EDB and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product, that can advance the development of the Digital industryCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions and ideas to enable partnerships with different ecosystem players (e.g. companies, education institutions, government agencies etc.)What we are looking for:To meet the challenges of this role, you possess:At least 3 years of relevant work experience; experience in technology and relevant sector is preferred.Skillsets and prior experience in account management, business development, or strategy development would be advantageousKeen interest in industry development with a strong desire to learn about and understand technological and business trends that influence the industryStrong conceptual & analytical thinking skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging stakeholdersSelf-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team playerExperience working with/in emerging markets (especially with Chinese companies) is preferableSingaporeanApplicants may expect to receive an application outcome within 8 weeks of application date.About Economic Development Board:EDB is the lead government agency responsible for planning & executing strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a global business centre and grow the Singapore Economy.
