- Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services from local and overseas suppliers, evaluate supplier quotes, manage daily procurement operations, and ensure adherence to College policies and approval processes.
- Identify and resolve issues, implementing solutions that benefit the College and other departments.
- Supplier Management: Maintain and manage a comprehensive vendor list and identify reliable suppliers, foster positive supplier relationships.
- Inter-departmental Support and Enhancing Team Synergy: Provide guidance and support to internal requestors and Finance, collaborate with stakeholders, manage critical communication and resolution of issues, and ensure operational coverage and teamwork across campuses when shorthanded.
- Training Initiatives: Advise and train staff on procurement policies, streamline processes, ensure efficient workflow, foster team collaboration, and implement comprehensive training programs for new requestors.
- Enhancing Operations and performing any other duties assigned by the line manager
- Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College.
- Diploma / Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain/Purchasing or equivalent.

- Preferred 3 years of relevant working experience in similar procurement positions, with a strong focus on sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience might be considered for the Procurement Specialist role
- Able to analyse situations, develop clear procedures, and solve problems effectively.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with an attention to detail.
- Builds strong relationships through clear and effective communication with colleagues and suppliers at all levels.
- Works effectively in a multicultural environment, collaborating seamlessly while also handling assignments with initiative.
- High level of integrity, drive, and commitment to excellence.
- Proficient in generating reports, Google Suite, and macOS. Familiarity with procurement software and sourcing systems is a plus.
