They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shipping Operator to join their team and help streamline their shipping operations across various commodities
As a Shipping Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transportation of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and refined products. You will manage all shipping-related activities, ensuring that shipments are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping Operations:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day shipping operations of LNG and refined products.
- Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of vessels, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
- Oversee the entire shipping lifecycle, from booking to delivery, ensuring all processes are adhered to.
- Contract & Documentation Management:
- Ensure that all necessary contracts, charter agreements, and documents are in place for shipments.
- Handle all shipping-related documentation, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Certificates of Origin, and other regulatory documentation.
- Liaise with charterers, vessel owners, and other third-party service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Compliance & Regulatory:
- Ensure all shipments comply with international regulations and company policies, including safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor industry and local regulatory changes, updating the team and ensuring compliance with new requirements.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, including logistics, operations, and commercial departments, to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as vessel owners, charterers, brokers, and regulatory bodies.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Ensure proper coordination between supply chain functions and ensure timely delivery and receipt of products.
- Monitor inventory levels of LNG and refined products and report discrepancies or concerns.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that arise during shipment execution.
- Provide solutions to minimize operational downtime and delays.
