This is a 5-month contract role for maternity cover from May to September. In this role, you will gain valuable exposure to APAC legal and corporate secretarial matters within the fintech and payment industry, enhancing your professional experience.

Contract Management & Projects

  • Support and/or project manage special projects
  • Review, validate against contract matrix and process contract signing process
  • Maintain contracts and document repository

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure 100% on-time submission of annual filings across 18 APAC entities.
  • Maintain updated corporate records, ensuring compliance with local corporate laws and regulations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external corporate secretarial service providers and local advisors, managing their performance through service level agreements (SLAs) and regular reviews.
  • Support the APAC General Counsel in developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements across APAC jurisdictions and implement necessary updates.

Board & Regulatory Filings Management

  • Manage board processes, resolutions, and meetings, ensuring timely preparation and distribution of board materials.
  • Oversee regulatory filings, corporate disclosures, and compliance audits in multiple APAC jurisdictions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance standards and corporate secretarial best practices.

Strategic Advisory & Reporting

  • Collaborate with the General Counsel and regional leadership to provide timely, insightful, and actionable reports on corporate governance matters.
  • Support strategic decision-making by ensuring transparency and compliance in corporate governance.

Skills & Qualifications Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate secretarial, compliance, or governance roles, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional APAC environment.
  • Proven track record of managing board processes, regulatory filings, and corporate compliance audits.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of APAC corporate laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to oversee corporate governance structures, risk management, and compliance programs.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, external service providers, and regulators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft corporate documents and governance reports.

Educational & Professional Qualifications:

  • A degree in Law, Business, or a related field. (Good to have, not compulsory)
  • Corporate secretarial qualifications such as ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) membership or equivalent are strongly preferred.
