
Contract Administrator
We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong organisation skills to join a reputable commodity trading firm as a Contract Administrator. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Incoterms and able to manage contracts ensuring they align with commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, modify, and negotiate contracts related to crude oil, petroleum products, and petrochemicals, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Ensure that all contract terms are clear and compliant.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks in contracts and internal records, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues in line with company policies.
- Offer guidance on contract structures and terms to internal stakeholders, ensuring contracts adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records and monitor the duration of frame and term contracts, proactively reminding traders or counterparties about renewal timelines and drafting necessary extensions.
- Review tender participation requirements and provide recommendations within the submission deadline.
- Prepare, review, amend, and negotiate trading-related documents such as Letters of Indemnity, Warranty of Title, and Notice of Assignment, with legal guidance provided where necessary.
- Assist with basic legal-related tasks, including contract retrieval, minor document amendments, deal execution, and notarisation/legalisation support, with appropriate legal oversight.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of contract administration experience in a commodity trading house, bank or oil major, with strong understanding of Incoterms.
- Degree in any discipline (Law Degree or a related field will be beneficial).
- Meticulous and organised, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS office applications.
