Assist and support VP Tax Singapore (OTOC) in rolling out and implementing the framework on tax compliance with BEPS Pillar 2 requirements in Singapore
- Assist VP Tax Singapore in liaising with DF/FISC for Company's guidance and requirements.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of BEPS compliance status and tools used in relevant processes.
- Coordinate with the branches and finance teams in Singapore in response to Pillar 2 compliance requirements, including but not limited to monitoring country ETR, organizing computation of QDMTT and filing domestic top up tax returns.
- Provide timely reporting of progress and key matters to OTOC management
- Monitor potential risks and manage tax queries and audit defense related to Pillar 2
- Monitor Singapore tax legislative development and analyze potential impact to Company's operations in Singapore
- Provide tax advice to Pillar 2 related matters and Singapore tax advice to other ad-hoc OTOC matters
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and relevant functional teams to assist Singapore affiliates to develop and implement tax efficient strategies, including assisting affiliates in evaluating and applying for tax incentives
- Provide advice and assistance to Singapore affiliates on transfer pricing matters to enhance TP compliance in Singapore
- Reporting to VP Tax Singapore and OTOC committee of any contentious tax issues and suggest practical solutions
- Provide tax assistance to TESS management and functional teams, including but not limited to review of tax implications on TESS activities and agreements.
- Manage external advisors for professional engagements by OTOC and/or TESS
- Professional liaisions with tax authorities/relevant government units
- Assist in developing strategy to optimize Singapore OTOC tax administration
- Continuously review work processes to ensure efficient workflow to maximize efficiency and quality of information flow
- Organize tax trainings for different business groups of Singapore entities to improve tax awareness
- Lead or implement new projects as delegated by OTOC management and VP Tax Singapore (OTOC) from time to time.
- Degree in tax or accounting with professional qualification (e.g. accredited tax professionals)
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in both Big 4 firm and large MNCs, preferably not less than 8 years experience specialized in corporate taxes.
- Strong tax technical knowledge of Singapore tax legislations and international tax principles and mechanism
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience on BEPS 2.0
- Experience of engagement with IRAS and relevant government authorities/agencies
- Experience of managing tax compliance, tax planning and tax advisory
- Hands on experiences of accounting systems is a strong plus
- Experience of working in a shared service function is a strong plus
