The Fundraising & Partnerships Executive ensures the sustainability of Canossaville’s programmes by meeting fundraising targets and building strategic partnerships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers. You will execute fundraising initiatives, expand our partner network, and organise community outreach activities like tours, seminars, and roadshows. Additionally, you will manage campaigns and events to enhance engagement and support.

This role requires strong stakeholder coordination to drive fundraising efforts and ensure Canossaville’s continued growth and impact.

Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks

Fundraising and Partnerships

  • Provide strong stewardship to stakeholders, corporate partners, donors to build long-term relationships and cultivate them to have better understanding of the needs of our children and families
  • Management of the existing donor database and donor relations by keeping them informed about new programmes and opportunities for involvement so as to fulfill Canossaville’s diverse needs, including volunteering, funding, and sponsorships
  • Initiation and execution of internal and external fundraising campaigns and events that are in line with The Village and Canossaville’s vision and mission
  • Initiation and execution of relevant strategies, programmes and campaigns targeting the identified funding needs of departments/sectors/entities within The Canossian Village
  • Coordinate and manage events to promote awareness with our partners including churches/corporates/foundations/trusts/individuals
  • Communication and engagement with Catholic churches and Catholic organisations
  • Recruit, train and supervise telemarketers and philanthropic agents to reach out to prospective donors and partners, enhancing fundraising efforts
  • Solicit and acquire new philanthropic gifts from both existing, new and prospective donors, including endowments, sponsorships from corporates/foundations/trusts/individuals to support Canossaville’s programmes and initiatives
  • Support grant-writing and fundraising efforts for government grants, foundations, corporates and other means
  • Work with finance team to ensure compliance with legislation and policies pertaining to statutory fundraising requirements, Charities and Code of Governance, i.e. application of licenses and appeals where applicable
  • Work closely with the Communications executive to develop marketing collaterals that will drive home Canossaville’s vision in line with the needs of the community

Community Outreach

  • Coordinate and facilitate site visits and informational tours for volunteer groups at Canossaville, ensuring effective collaboration with sector heads for optimal presentation and engagement
  • Organise and conduct roadshows, seminars, and public talks to promote awareness of Canossaville’s mission and services
  • Handle logistical and administrative tasks related to event planning and execution to guarantee successful outcomes
  • Drive community outreach efforts to showcase Canossaville’s work and garner local support

Resource Planning

  • Utilise resources in a cost-effective manner following the fund-raising efficiency ratio below 30% (30-70 rule)

Education, Skills, and Competencies

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management / Marketing / Communications
  • At least 2 years of experience in the social service sector and in a similar capacity (charity fundraising or non-profit fund management experience)
  • (Preferred) Events management experience in the area of fundraising activities

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical and organised, able to translate concepts into actionable goals
  • Knowledge of various fundraising techniques, including online fundraising (digital and social media platforms) with a creative mindset to engage audiences effectively
  • Experience in using Donation Management System(s)
  • Ability to collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with different stakeholders
