We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential for full-time employment. In this role, you will assist the Director in managing ongoing projects and ensuring successful project delivery from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have experience in handling ongoing A&A (Additions and Alterations) works and possess a strong understanding of construction site operations. Prior experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) or Architectural Clerk of Works will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in overseeing the execution of ongoing projects.
- Manage and monitor the progress of A&A works, ensuring that project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with building owners and stakeholders to understand and fulfill their requirements.
- Collaborate with in-house teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations on-site.
- Solve on-site issues proactively and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Provide regular, timely project updates to the Director and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards on-site.
- Prepare, plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, design plan, risk assessment, monthly report, etc.
- Meet project progress targets and manage project budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Provide regular project updates to the Director and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all documentation, including reports, project plans, and drawings, are up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist in obtaining quotations. Able to do take-off quantities.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, M&E or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, M&E or related field.
- Proven experience in handling A&A works, preferably in a project engineering or site management role.
- Prior experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) or Architectural Clerk of Works will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with building owners, in-house teams, and subcontractors.
- Positive and proactive work attitude with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Willingness to work on-site and handle any ad-hoc challenges that arise.
- Able to handle tight work schedules and project requirements
- Singapore Citizen will be considered first.
