Project Finance Lawyer (NQ-2 PQE)
My client, a renowned UK law firm, is currently recruiting a Junior Associate to join their Project Development and Finance practice here in Singapore. The team is highly ranked and works on high-profile energy and infrastructure projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise sponsors, lenders, and investors on complex energy and infrastructure projects.
- Assist in drafting and managing project finance documents, including loan agreements, power purchase agreements, and other related contracts.
- Prepare due diligence reports, focusing on key transactional elements.
- Collaborate effectively with senior team members to manage project timelines across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: NQ to 2 PQE gained in a common law jurisdiction, such as Singapore, England & Wales, or another equivalent.
- Technical Knowledge: General banking/finance background. Familiarity with APLMA-based loan agreements, finance documents, and conditions precedent; experience working with DFIs or ECAs is a plus. Experience in project finance and sectors such as energy, utilities, and infrastructure would be viewed favorably.
- Additional Skills: Exposure to project documentation, from front-end EPC contracts to PPAs, O&Ms, supply and offtake contracts, and others, would be highly beneficial.
- Personal Attributes: Strong pedigree with a keen interest in the Energy & Infrastructure sector; a strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, time-sensitive transactions.
