Freelance Social Media Manager [ASAP for at least 6 months]
NOTE: We're looking for someone who can start ASAP for at least 6 months or longer.
Role: The Social Media Manager is both a brand guardian and defender. They are primarily responsible for the deliberate planning, strategy and goal setting, brand awareness and online reputation, content management of the client’s social media channels. Beyond this, the Social Media Manager has a diverse range of skills, knowledge and experience relating to social listening, media production (i.e. adapting and resizing graphics, videos, GIFs), performance reporting and paid media management (i.e. targeting for paid campaigns). It is important that the candidate is heavily active on social media and has a strong understanding of the channels, behaviours and capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Administrative / Operations
- Good brief writing skills (new / creative briefs)
- Efficiently oversees team to manage all project tracks
- Good resource management
- Able to independently develop project timelines and budgets
- Supervise community moderations to facilitate timely and appropriate responses.
Content Management
- Develop social media / content proposals with minor supervisor.
- Oversee and supervise content flighting planning.
- Supervise the uploading / scheduling of posts / contents, and the boosting and running of ads
Reporting
- Able to analyse and extract insights from data to give both tangible and meaningful recommendations
- Regular analysis and reporting of always-on and campaign performance against client benchmarks, providing tangible recommendations for improvement
- Able to structure report based on outcomes / needs.
Strategy
- Able to contribute to strategy discussions that will result in effective social outputs
- Understanding of industry trends and their impact on client and company’s businesses
- Have a PoV in media strategy for AO, campaigns, and AB testing.
Business
- Decent understanding of finance processes
- Develop cost proposals with minor supervision.
People Management
- Day-to-day team management on campaign and content delivery
- Provide clear and nurturing feedback to reporting team
- Manage and mentor junior suits on platforms, servicing, project management, timeline/ budget management, reporting.
Knowledge Required
- At least 4-6 years relevant experience (with a clear focus on social media content creation and video production)
- Strong interest in content marketing and content production
- Experience producing performance reports and analysing results through statistics
- Evidence of success in content creation and client relations
- Results on social media campaigns and long-term strategy
Competencies Required
- Good communication and people skills
