- Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 3 years' industrial experience.
- Experience in microbial isolation, cultivation, characterization and identification, microbial physiology and/or ecology, 16S rRNA qPCR, Western blotting, and basic genetic engineering tools and analytical tools (HPLC, etc.).
- Familiarity with strain handling, microbial communities, high-throughput screenings, and fermentation.
- Demonstrating success in taking ideas to strain or process development and improvement.
- Strong communication and organization skills, be able to multi-task and exhibit a strong sense of urgency in order to accomplish daily tasks.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data from laboratory and plant operations with statistic tools.
- Be self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities; must be able to work independently in a team environment, maintain a positive attitude
