What the role is:You will be part of the Human Resource Directorate under the People & Organisation Group which focuses on developing people and organisational capabilities. You will play an active role in preparing Finance and Internal Audit Professionals towards a leading, engaged, agile and productive Public Sector Finance Workforce. You will do this through the management of structured deployment, talent management and succession planning for public sector finance and internal audit officers.What you will be working on:Responsibilities: You will be involved in the following: • Undertake workforce planning to understand the profile and size of finance and internal audit workforce and jobs across agencies in the public service • Implement talent management interventions by strengthening finance and internal audit leadership pipeline to meet future workforce needs and priorities of the public sector finance and internal audit function • Work with senior leadership and partner with key stakeholders on talent deployment and succession planning • Develop strategic workforce management through insights from data and workforce analytics and human capital best practicesWhat we are looking for:Requirements: Functional/Technical Competencies • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration, or related disciplines • At least 3 years' relevant experience and knowledge in human resources • Prior HR experience in the public sector and familiarity with Civil Service policies and guidelines will be an advantage Generic Competencies: • Innovative individual who will think out of the box to find solutions for existing and anticipated problems • Ability to proactively identify and manage the impact of changing workforce requirements; and align HR strategies and policies to develop workforce capacity and capability. • Strong analytical, written, communication and inter-personal skills.
