Job Position Summary

An exciting opportunity to be part of the global HR team of Fleet Management (the second largest ship management company in the world).

This role serves as the first point of contact for employees who have HR related questions, issues or need assistance relating to employment matters in Singapore. It is an integral part of the SG HR team delivering the full spectrum of HR support, implementing HR policies and procedures and global HR initiatives. This is an opportunity for aspiring junior HR professionals keen in increasing exposure across a range of HR disciplines.

This position will be hired under Fleet Ship Management Pte Ltd.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Preparation of employment contracts
  • Ensure appropriate pre-employment background checks are completed
  • Handle HR Corporate induction and day 1 joining formalities for all new joiners
  • Update HR system - SAP Success Factors Employee Central with all new joiner information accurately
  • Maintain an efficient and professional filing system for all subjects

Off-boarding

  • Arrange exit interview for leavers
  • Ensure exit forms and Knowledge transfer documentation is completed prior to exit interview
  • Prepare relevant regulatory reporting and/or tax withholding

Employee Relations & engagement

  • Support the Regional Manager by acting as a first point of contact on staff enquiries and providing appropriate advice on all aspects of the employee lifecycle in accordance with the SG employment laws and company policies
  • Plan and organise staff engagement related events.

HR Operations

  • Ensure all employee records are up to date in SuccessFactors Employee Central database
  • Maintain an efficient and up to date e-filing system of all employee records
  • Managing issuance of various company documents to employees such as proof of employment
  • Managing internal global transfers and ensuring all documentation is complete
  • Support visa applications/renewals and coordinate travel arrangements for expatriates and their dependents
  • Support implementation of global HR initiatives
  • Perform day to day HR administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Manager
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required

Relationship:

  • INTERNAL: Fleet Employees, IT, India & Hong Kong HR team
  • EXTERNAL: Ministry of Manpower

Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in HR generalist experience
  • In-depth understanding of the Singapore Employment laws
  • Experience in employment pass matters and SAP successfactors would be advantage
  • Degree holder in Human Resource/ Business Administration
  • Proficient in MS Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Good team player
